Is it more dangerous to sell blood diamonds or try to escape them?

No longer willing to use blood diamonds and determined to find more ethically sourced gems, successful London gem wholesaler James makes the dangerous trek to Zaire. After a narrow escape from his abductors, James establishes his own fair-trade diamond mining business and settles an idyllic farm with his young wife, Veronica. With the assistance of the local church, James goes on to import used clothing and revitalize the struggling Zairian town he now calls home. With his conscience clear, James can finally rest easy.

That’s when it all falls apart.

James’ ethical diamond mining and humanitarian clothing business draw the attention of the local militia. Furious that he single-handedly destroyed their once-booming diamond business, the militia descends on James and murders his kind-hearted business partner. Worse, James’ connection with the church evaporates, setting James in the deadly crosshairs of the Zairian militia.
